Enhancing, Supporting and Contributing to the Oakmont Experience
In 2007, the Oakmont Community Foundation was incorporated in California and in January of 2008 OCF received its IRS approval as an independent non-profit benefit corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. This means that under most circumstances contributions to the OCF are tax deductible to the donor on both Federal and State Returns.
Our mission statement and articles of incorporation restrict the Foundation's activities to the Village of Oakmont and to education and approved beneficial activities within the community.
The Foundation is not connected to the OVA (Oakmont Village Association) but the OVA does welcome and support our activities as an official organization.
Contributions to the OCF can be directed to the General Fund for distribution by the Foundation's directors as needs are identified. Or, they may be designated for specific approved educational and/or beneficial activities by OVA organizations or in recognition of individuals. Or, they may be designated for the Endowment Fund to sustain giving over time; please consider the Oakmont Community Foundation when making your estate plans.
